DER FAUST Nomination (Best children’s opera/theater production in Germany) for Nils Karlsson-Däumling (Manfred Weiss, libretto based on Astrid Lindgren; Anselm Dalferth, staging; Birgit Kellner, set design)
Nils Karlsson-Däumling plays at the Elbphilharmonie, as well as in Bonn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, and Wuppertal opera houses.
A Safe and Special Place, a new pocket opera for Ensemble Modern as part of the graduating piece of the Akademie Musiktheater Heute

– A new work for Sarah Maria Sun (soprano) and Jan Philip Schulze (piano)

Among the exciting projects for this season :

– My corporate Identity,  an opera for the Deutsche Oper, as part of Neue Szenen III.
Into something rich and strange, for Vincent Lhermet (Accordion) and Marianne Muller (Viola da Gamba), to be toured through France in a program of Elizabethan consort music.

– A new work for Sarah Maria Sun (soprano) and Kilian Herold (clarinet)

I have been selected to write a new opera for the Deutsche Oper, as part of Neue Szenen III. The opera will be premiered in Berlin in April 2017.
